Turkey – another successful year for GUGLER

HPP Karatas was successfully commissioned in 2017. GUGLER Water Turbines supplied three (3) Francis turbines, generators, inlet valves and hydraulic power units for this new hydropower plant, developed by the company Karaca HES Enerji Üretim A.Ş. The total installed capacity is 10 MW.
All three Francis turbines and HPUs were completely manufactured locally in Turkey under the responsibilty of our subsidiary in Istanbul, GUGLER Su Türbinleri Ltd.Şti., which allowed our client to apply for the incentive tariff established by the Turkish government.

Three new contracts have been awarded to GUGLER Water Turbines in Turkey in 2017 :

HPP Adatepe : Asmar Elektrik Üretim San. Ve Tic. A.Ş. contracted GUGLER Water Turbines the supply of two (2) Francis turbines and related electromechanical equipment for the hydropower plant Adatepe with an installed capacity of 3.6 MW. Net head is 70 m and discharge 2.5 m3/s per unit.

HPP Girlevik 3 – Karatus : Yusaka Enerji Elektrik Üretim A.Ş has awarded GUGLER Water Turbines the contract for the supply of two (2) Francis turbines and related electromechanical equipment for the hydropower plant Girlevik 3-Karatus. The power output for this new plant will be 4 MW and its commissioning is scheduled for September 2018.

HPP Selimiye : Mersan Enerji Üretim Endüstri San. Ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. has chosen GUGLER Water Turbines as supplier for the two (2) Francis Turbines and related electromechanical equipment for the new hydropower plant with an installed capacity of 4.3 MW. Net head is 118.3 m and discharge is 2 m3/s per unit.
