Philippines – new major contract for GUGLER

GUGLER Water Turbines GmbH signed a contract with Kiangan Mini Hydro Corporation for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of four Francis turbines and all required electro-mechanical equipment (including the switchgears for 69 kV grid connection) for the new 17.49 MW hydropower project Kiangan to be developed within the vicinity of the Asin, Hungduan and Ibulao Rivers in the Barangays of Bokiawan, Munggayang and Daligan in Kiangan, Ifugao, Republic of the Philippines.

The project consist of two separate hydropower plants :

  • Asin-Hungduan Powerhouse: equipped with two (2) Francis turbines with an installed capacity of 5 MW each, designed for a net head is 28 m and total flow is 21.18 m3/s.
  • Ibulao Powerhouse: equipped with two (2) Francis turbines with an installed capacity of 4.6 MW and 3 MW respectively, designed for a net head is 40.26m and the total flow is 21.17 m3/s.

This contract is another major milestone for our company and it is the 10th hydropower project awarded to GUGLER in the Philippines.
